Our story

One room, one afternoon, one decision.

Lekkside Education Fair started in Lagos with a simple idea: a student should not need an agent, a plane ticket or a paid consultation to ask a university a direct question. Two decades on, that has grown into a season of fairs across West, East and Southern Africa, plus a virtual programme for regions we have not reached in person yet.

Admissions officers, not agents

The people at the stands assess applications for a living. Students speak to them directly, with no intermediary and no fee.

02 /Free

Free for every student

No entry fee, no consultation fee, no fee to bring a parent. It has been that way since the first fair and it stays that way.

03 /Reach

Where the students already are

We take the fair to the city rather than asking families to travel to it — Lagos, Abuja, Accra, Nairobi, Lusaka, Harare and online.

Everything we run serves one of two people: the student deciding where to study, and the institution deciding where to recruit.

Meet the universities in person.

Bring your results and a photo ID. Ask about entry requirements, tuition, scholarships and visa routes, and get answers from the people who make the decisions. Many institutions review documents at the stand.

For institutions

Recruit where the students already are.

Our audience is 1000+, degree-ready and pre-screened by budget, level and intake. Book a single city or the whole season, in person or as a virtual booth.
